Cosmic Cactus Pillow - Colour Inspiration

The Cosmic Cactus Pillow is the first pattern designed by Lisa Briese.

This is a small project you can complete in a weekend and is suitable for confident beginners. The pillow design matches the Cosmic Cactus Quilt that will release in early 2022 and will be available in a Baby and Throw size.

Be inspired by these colours palettes or choose any of your four favourite colours to make this fun pillow.

Outlined below are all the material requirements, including fabric, batting and pillow insert size so you can start planning your pillow!

Where can you get the pattern?

You can obtain your copy of the pattern from our shop.

Choose fabrics to suit your style or decor:

  • Fabric solids or low volume prints to create a fresh and modern look.

  • Small floral prints for a cottage style.

  • What is your style?

Large fabric prints and stripes are not recommended unless you can accommodate them by fussy cutting.

Lou Lou & Betty is a culmination of my love of quilting, designing and sharing my quilting knowledge. From an early age I’ve had a love of craft and one early memory is spending my school holidays learning how to sew on my Mum’s sewing machine. After a number of years moving around on military postings, I’ve finally settled in the beautiful beachside city of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.

I design modern quilt patterns that are thoughtfully written. In addition, tutorials are available on our website that allow even a beginner to complete their first quilt project. Discover how you can make a quilt with a basic sewing machine and quilting tools, so you can fall in love with this craft. With a growing library of resources, PDF patterns, quilt fabric kits and curated fabric bundles, take a look at what Lou Lou & Betty has to offer.
