KALEIDOSCOPIC ARRAY- Colour Inspiration + Layouts
Explore the visual display of all 8 Kaleidoscopic Array colourways. Here you will also discover how arranging the blocks can create a up to seven unique layouts, with every lay out looking distinctly different. As you browse, you may find a natural preference for certain layouts. More inspiration can also be found in our blog with a pattern tester parade.
But if you can’t decide yet, you can decide later! Once you complete all the blocks, you can lay them out and see which lay out you prefer before assembling the quilt top.
Only the cover quilt images show the size options, with all other lay outs in a throw size for maximum impact.
When you find a lay out you love, click the image to download the PDF colouring page. When printing the PDF colouring pages, ensure your select ‘fit to page’ as the pages are A4 size by default.
Firstly, I’ll talk briefly about the 3 different quilt options. The pattern allows you to decide on which quilt option works best for your time & budget. Think about which option your prefer, as you scroll through at the different colourways and lay outs.
Notice the subtle differences between each option?
MODERN: Creates a quilt without any fuss, using only six fabrics and a strip piecing method which will save you time!
SCRAPPY: If you love scrappy quilts, using fabric from your stash and have the time, then this option is definitely worth the effort. You will be choosing six fabrics of differing colour values and patterns, creating a delightful scrappy block and quilt. Guidance for selecting and sorting fabric is included in the pattern.
MIX & MATCH: Do you love the scrappy look, but don’t have the time. Then this is a ‘simple’ way of creating a scrappy or ombré quilt. Simply make each quarter section of the quilt in different fabrics and colour value. Then mix them up. Viola! Instructions in the pattern will guide you through the process.
